We celebrated her birthday at the Gras house a few days later. Annique helped decorate her butterfly cake. When we all gathered for dinner, Camille was especially cute and delightful. She was pretty chatty and giggly and was so much fun! Maybe she knew it was her birthday. She loved the dinner Grandma Gras made for her. She is a fan of pork tenderloin (though she calls all meat chicken) and corn on the cob.
When it was cake time, she joyfully sang happy birthday with us but did not blow out her candles. Camille really loved her cake. She didn't make much of a mess, but she definitely shoved very large pieces into her mouth. Gift opening was a blast! We have another book lover on our hands, my friends.
Her language is emerging as well. She is putting two and three word sentences together. "Where Mommy go?" "Bye-bye Daddy!" "There she is!" My favorite words to hear her say are cookie, and puh-pul (purple). Dan likes her "yeyow" (yellow). Of course she understands much more than she can say. The other day she asked me "Where bear go?" and I told her it was in her room. She proceeded upstairs to her room and got the bear.
Likes- Her beanie baby bear, playing outside (often with the aforementioned bear), wearing shoes- she pretty much has a specific pair of shoes in mind when she wants them on, Baby Signing Time DVD's, singing the alphabet, counting, markers, holding things and carrying them around, her sunglasses, having Mommy or Daddy read to her.
